To find out which boarding school suits your child, we will advise you in advance in the "Reception" area in one of our consultation rooms. Afterwards, we will recommend the first boarding schools to you, and then you can talk to the respective schools in the "Boarding Schools" tab.
In order to have possibilities for comparison, it makes sense if you talk to at least 2 boarding schools at the fair.
After the Digital Boarding School Fair, you can discuss the boarding schools in question at your leisure, or you can contact them again by e-mail or telephone, or arrange a non-binding visit with your child to the boarding school. If your good impression is confirmed, you are one step closer to finding the right boarding school for your child.

How do I participate in the online fair?
Anyone who wants to visit the Digital Boarding School Fair must register with at least a name and an e-mail address (the e-mail address is not visible to other visitors). The profile picture is optional.

Feel free to test all functions directly after registration or in the days before the event. Since the platform runs technically flawlessly, any personal usage problems that may occur are most likely due to the use of the wrong browser or the individual configurations of the laptop, desktop or cell phone used.
Solutions to virtually all technical problems can be found in the "Help Center" and the "Support Chat" at the top right of the platform. In addition, the "Technical Support" team will be happy to help you solve technical problems in person from Monday to Friday between 9 a.m. and 5.30 p.m.
Which browser do I use best? Can I also visit the online trade fair via cell phone or tablet?
Our trade fair platform is optimized for the Google Chrome browser. If you have this browser installed, you will get the best possible performance with it. The tool also works on mobile. For video chats, you have to turn the cell phone or tablet sideways. The software works better on the laptop or PC.
Your browser may ask you for permission to access your mic and camera the first time you click into a room. Agree here of course, then you can go back to being image and/or soundless.
How do I navigate through the Digital Boarding School Fair?
Simply switch between the areas with a mouse click and participate in video chats where you have received school recommendations. You can also switch areas during a chat to view information about an organization, for example.
How do I participate in a video chat?
You click on the icon with "JOIN" and the virtual room opens. In order to provide you with the best possible individual conversation, all video chat rooms are designed for 1-to-1 consultations.
You can leave a video chat either by clicking the red "Leave the table" button under the navigation area or by moving to the next boarding room.
How does the chat work?
There are 2 ways to use the chat. On the one hand, you will find a group chat in each virtual room, which is visible for the respective boarding school, but also for everyone else. You will find this at the bottom of the screen as soon as you enter a room. Feel free to ask your general questions here if you don't necessarily want to get in touch via camera and mic.
There is also a private chat for direct exchange between you and the boarding school directors or counselors. Here you can ask questions to us or to the boarding school that you don't want everyone to see. You can write a private message by hovering over another person's profile picture and then clicking on "Message". You can find an overview of the messages in the upper right corner by clicking on the small icon with the speech bubble.
How do I find a specific boarding school?
The virtual rooms of all boarding schools present at the Digital Boarding School Fair can be found under "Boarding Schools" in the right column on the platform.
